HYPNOSIS refers to a technique that involves the use of suggestions when we are very relaxed (but still aware of our environment).
It is used to bring about positive changes in our behaviors, especially those involving eating and exercising by substituting our old thoughts about food with new ones.
During a hypnosis session, we alter messages about the behaviors we want to change in our brain. Once a session is over, we notice our food and exercise behaviors changing almost instantaneously before our eyes. We are amazed that we don't want the bread basket or chips at a restaurant! We are shocked we don't eat everything on our plates! We simply can't believe we snub our noses at sweets!
All this happens effortlessly because we have a new and healthier message in our brain that replaces the old, addictive message we had about food.
